January 11, 2009 Meeting Minutes

| 4. | Midwinter Festival planning progress Most discussion was to give updates on progress. Decisions: Board budgets $100 for beer for the Green Room. Newsletter dates: Deadline for articles: 1/21. Folding: 1/28 |
| 5. | Motion for insurance for all AFTM committees to be paid
out of general fund Dance committee costs will be $220 each for 3rd Sat. and 1st Fri. groups. Fire Ant Frolic and English Country Dance are $105 each. Total: $650. Motion—All events currently offered through AFTM will have their insurance paid for through the general fund. Vote—Unanimous PASS |
| 6. | Board slate The following are willing serve in the same positions for another year: E. Pittman—President A. Wooten—Vice Pres. B. Mollberg—Vice Pres. (will not be included on slate because he can’t come to meetings) D. Rempert—Treasurer K. Tuxhorn—Dance liaison J. DeFriese—Events S. Rempert—Web site T. Wooten—Newsletter Positions that are coming open: Vice Pres. (vacated by J. Hagins) Secretary (vacated by E. Stansell) Membership (vacated by S. Zelnicki) Vote: Nominate S. Rempert for Membership—PASS Nominate C. Foster for Secretary—PASS Proposed change to bylaws: "the board will have additonal members, with a maximum of 12" will replace "the board will have up to four additional members." Additional requirement: board members must agree to try to make it to all meetings. If a board members misses two or more meetings in a year, the board may remove that member from the board. Quorom is one-half of elected board members. Simple majority of board member present, for all votes including email, shall pass a motion.—PASS (Next, AFTM members must vote) |
